Monday when I talked about how I meal plan and grocery shop, I said we like to eat leftovers a couple nights a week. Well no one ever said you couldn’t make those leftovers extra delicious! Today that is exactly what I am showing you… extra delicious leftovers! So try this one the next time you make my Best Roast Ever.
Ingredients:
Leftover Roast {with gravy}
8 slices of provolone cheese
sub rolls
How To:
Take your leftover roast and shred it up and place it on sub rolls.
Top each roll with two slices of provolone cheese.
Wrap your sammy in foil and heat in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes until everything is warmed through and the cheese is melted.
While your sammies cook, skim the fat off the gravy that was left in your slow cooker and discard.
Take the remaining gravy and heat in a sauce pan on low on your stove-top.
Serve the au jus sauce on the side of your sammies for dipping.
Trust me on this…these leftovers are just as delicious {if not better} than the original roast. These are leftovers your family will look forward to eating!!
Let's talk, tell me what you think.
