Today’s recipe says it is a breakfast casserole but it could also be cut into small squares and served as an appetizer {which is usually how I serve it}. My friend Suzanne shared this recipe with me years ago. I have made it for so many different occasions and I have never left a party with any left on the platter!
Ingredients:
2- 8oz blocks of cream cheese {at room temperature}
1 package of breakfast sausage
2 packages of crescent rolls
How To:
Brown your sausage in a skillet
While the sausage browns, spray a casserole dish with Pam and spread one crescent sheet in the bottom of the dish. Bake on 375 degrees for about 5 minutes {it won’t be completely done just partially done}
Mix cream cheese and drained sausage together
Spread over the partially cooked crescent sheet
Top with the second crescent sheet, stretching to push to the edges
Bake at 375 degrees for about 10-12 minutes until the top is golden brown
Serve as a casserole or cut into squares for an appetizer
Let's talk, tell me what you think.
