Hey there, friends! It has been such a long time since I have stepped into this little space of the internet. I have missed recording our happenings. I have said it before but I am not the scrap booking type…so this is my version of a scrapbook. Life has been happening all around us and some days I have been just hanging on for the ride. Keeping up with our three little ones has kept me very busy since our last meeting. So much has happened and changed in our lives, it would be too long of a post to try to recap it all so here are some of the high points.
- We made the decision to homeschool our children. This came after years of discussions on homeschool, public school or private school. We weighed all the pros and cons of each and decided on what was best for our children. This September we began Classical Conversations in a co-op setting. Libby is only in K4 so we are using this year as our “test” year to get a solid routine down and make adjustments before she starts Kindergarten. After 12 weeks we feel confident that we have made the right decision.
- Our family moved! You may remember that in February we bought a lot and began designing a home for ourselves here in Nashville. Our home was finished at the end of August, just as the one year lease on our rental house was ending. We love our new house and our neighborhood! It feels good to have a place that is ours.
- Our kiddos have grown…like weeds! I think the last post I did about Emry was when he was turning three months old. Well now that sweet boy is coming up on nine months. He eats all the real food you will give him and then burns it off by crawling all over the house. Whitney turned two in September. Her birthday was around the time we moved, so when we had family in town we celebrated our sweet girl with cake, a few presents and her favorite foods! Libby is thriving in K4 and can tell you so much about history and science {her two favorite subjects). She is four and a half now and is such a big helper to me! Libby has the kindest heart and the sweetest soul.
So friends, I am vowing to be back here more. To record our little family so as the years fly by I can look back and remember these sweet days. I hope you will come back and join me. Here’s to not giving up!
xx- Katrina
