Last week life happened and this little blog got put on the back burner 🙁
Things are getting back on track now, so let’s catch up, friends!
Anytime Libby passes by a mannequin she asks to have her picture made with them. It cracks me up every time! Last week was no different, we ran in Old Navy looking for some bigger shorts for Whitney and Libby insisted that her picture be made as we walked in. She also found an Ariel tshirt that she felt she needed. I’ m not big on character clothes but I caved and she has asked to wear it every single day since.
The girls and I spend last Wednesday morning at the mall. Here is a fact about me: I rarely go to the mall. It is crowded and I don’t like crowds. But, last week I decided it was just the place to spend the morning, get some energy out, and check out some sales. Our mall has these ride on animals that you can rent. Libby always looks at them but is too scared to ride one, even though she really wants to. As she was checking them out she told me that one day she would be brave and ride one! We made a deal that on Friday, we would come back to the mall with daddy and ride one.
We also made a deal that since she had been so sweet and helpful at home we would go in the Disney store and she could pick out a toy. Libby had almost decided on a Sophia the First doll when she spotted Rex from Toy Story! If you know Libby, you know she is dinosaur obsessed! I think she was happy with her purchase!
Thursday the girls and I spend a lot of time getting ready for a yard sale we were having this weekend. I’ve never had a yard sale before, and y’all…it was a lot of dang work! Someone remind me of that the next time I throw that idea out!
We were all over heated and needed a bath. This girl loves her baths!
Friday Libby reminded us that we promised to take her back to the mall to ride an animal. So off we went, and you know what?
She picked a pig and rode it all over the mall…with her daddy! She insisted on riding with Lee and she was a little nervous at first, but she warmed up really quickly and had a blast! She also got her favorite pizza and a ride on the carousel before we left.
Saturday morning we hosted our yard sale! It was so dang hot but it was worth it. We made some money and got rid of a lot of stuff I was hoarding holding on to. The real excitement of the day was that Lee’s brother and his kiddos were coming into town for the weekend! Libby loves playing with her cousins and that is just what she did the rest of the day!!
We spend Sunday recovering from the yard sale and visiting with our cousins some more. All the playing wore Whitney out.
We ended our weekend with ice cream for dinner!!
I hope your weekend was filled with lots of {southern} love and family as ours was!
