Oh my beautiful baby boy, how are you already one month old?
It seems like just yesterday you were born but at the same time it seems like you have been here all along. You were our missing piece we didn’t know we were missing. You have made our family complete.
You are a pretty great baby, Emry. You nurse every three hours during the day and stretch it out to every four hours at night. You spit up a bit because you like to over eat but we are working on that.
The only time you cry is when you are getting your diaper or clothes changed. You cannot stand being naked or cold. You seem indifferent to bath time, you don’t cry while you are in the tub but you don’t seem to enjoy it either.
While you sleep you grunt…a lot! You also like to sleep swaddled. Right now you sleep in the bed snuggled up next to me. It is easier to pick you up and nurse when you are that close. To be honest, I also like that snuggle time with you at night. During the day I hold you for naps when I don’t have other things that need to get done, or you sleep in your glider swing.
Your One Month Stats:
Weight: 9 pounds 12 ounces
Length: 20 1/4 inches
Clothes: size 3 month
Diaper: size 1
Your sisters love you. Libby calls you Henry not Emry…we are working on that! Whitney likes to steal your paci and touch you. She also likes to bring me your diapers and throw them away for me.
I took you and Whitney shopping just once and you did great. Every Sunday we take you to church and you sleep through the entire service. Most of the time you don’t mind car rides, however occasionally you decide that you don’t want to be in the car and let us all know it.
You are loved more than you will ever know sweet boy. I cannot wait to see how you grow and the personality that you develop. Your daddy and I love you to pieces.
