Morning! The day after Christmas our friends Dave and Jess had twin boys. At home they already had a five year old, three year old and two year old. That is five kids five and under! Friends, I am sure they would appreciate your prayers during this transition from a family of five to a family of seven. Halle and Libby are the best of buds, so I offered to take Halle off their hands for a few hours this past weekend. Lee stayed home with our littles while Libby, Halle and I had a girls day out.
Our original plan was to go to the zoo BUT the weather was not in line with our plans. So, we decided to go to Jump Street instead. You all remember this is one of Libby’s favorite places and Halle had never been so we had to take her to try it out! The girls had a great time bouncing, jumping and sliding.
When the girls had jumped all of their energy out we bundled up and loaded up. I asked them when we got to the car what they wanted for lunch. Both instinctively said pizza. Is that what your kids say whenever you ask them what they want to eat? It is Libby’s go to answer, either pizza or peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Old Chicago was close by and sounded good to us all. Libby and Halle are two peas in a pod. They both love pizza and pretending to be kitty cats. While we waited they found the letters to their names in the word search and then drew a playground.
I ordered Garlic Parmesan fries as our appetizer and Halle and I thought they were delicious, Libby did not!
Our final stop was Target, because really can you go “into town” without going to Target?? I can’t either! While we were there we picked up unicorn onesies.
Meanwhile back on the Homefront….
It was a super fun girls day out!
