Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you momma’s out there! Mother’s Day weekend is bittersweet for me. I love getting crafts from Libby at preschool and being loved on a little extra by my family. It is also hard celebrating not having my momma. I know how great of a mom she was to me and I can only imagine how much she would love her grandbabies. We kept her on our hearts all weekend and celebrated with her in mind.
Libby filled this out at school and brought home as part of a book for me. I am 5 years old and my jobs are feeding Emry and washing dishes. Haha!! I love it! #sheforgotlaundry
Friday Libby and Emry had ophthalmologist appointments. To be honest, I always dread these appointments. Libby hates to have her eyes dilated and the appointments usually last so long that she gets silly by the end which makes it hard to get a good screening.
This was after an hour of waiting in the waiting room. I packed a lot of snacks, so we had a little snack time while we waited. I have to say the kids did great! Emry slept most of the time and never cried. Whitney was entertained just walking around and looking at the fish tank. Libby did so great on her screening! My heart could just burst at how proud I was of her bravery. Overall it was a great experience and we are very pleased with our new ophthalmologist here in Tennessee.
Have y’all tried Shipt yet? We have been using their services for a few weeks and had a delivery scheduled for 8am Saturday morning. Well Mackenize, our Shipt shopper, brought me a Mother’s Day card! How sweet was that?
I was nursing Emry before we headed out and Libby came in to show me her stripes she had drawn on herself. She decided to be a tiger and needed stripes.
I swapped a pair of shoes at Nordstrom, window shopped at Tory Burch and looked at Apple watches…because a girl can dream! Then these cuties and I had lunch.
Up next for our fun filled Saturday, the park. The girls played their hearts out and Emry slept his heart out.
I am loving this sign I picked up from a little local store. Lee was sitting in the car while the kids slept and I ran in and looked around. I texted him this picture and he texted back “that’s your motto!”. The sign came home with me, it was meant to be!
I love our church! Yesterday they loved on all of us mommas a little extra. We took a picture after church, they had a stand with pastries, tea and lemonade set up, and an area where our kiddos could plant a flower for their mommas in pots they decorated in their classes.
Lee and the kids gifted me this sweet bracelet. I love it and will wear it daily.
We spent the rest of the day relaxing at home enjoying family time. It was a great weekend!
