Hey y’all! It has been a LONG time since I have spent time here in my little space on the internet. I have missed it here but life has been keeping me busy with my babies, homeschooling and housewifery. Since the beginning of the year I have read some REALLY good books! I posted several pictures on Instagram of books and several friends have texted wanting more recommendations, so I thought I would post here and share all the good books I have read this year.
The Couple Next Door was a great kickoff book to 2017. The story unfolded in unexpected twists and turns and left me wanting to stay up late and wake up early to finish this book. A baby goes missing and all eyes are on the couple next door, secrets are revealed and everyone is a suspect. It is a really good read!
Cancel the Wedding is one of the best books I have EVER read. One of my friends repeated this to me confirming that this is a must read book. After her mom’s death Olivia returns to her mother’s hometown to lay her to rest, she learns so much about her mom that changes her own life forever. If you just take one of my recommendations today, read this book!
The Magnolia Story was a quick and light read. I love Fixer Upper, like most of America, and this just gave a little more personal background to who Chip and Joanna Gaines are. If you already love this couple this book will make you love them that much more.
The Woman in Cabin 10 lived up to all of its hype! If you like a good whodunnit type thriller this one is for you! After seeing, or thinking she saw, a body being thrown overboard Lo sets out to find who on board is responsible. The plot twist? Everyone onboard the ship is accounted for and no one is missing. Did Lo really see what she thought? Its GOOD y’all!
I am from a really small town, really small. All the Missing Girls is set in the same kind of town and is so accurate in the inner workings of small towns that it was especially creepy at times. This is another page turning thriller that I could not stop reading. Nic comes back from her big city life to spend the summer getting her childhood home ready to sell, the fair is in town and a girl goes missing. The same thing happened ten years ago, the last time Nic was home for the fair. Gossip, rumors and whispering start up and in a small town that can be enough to convict someone for life.
I hope you will pick up one or two of these books and enjoy them as much as I did! I hope to not be a stranger around here.
