My poor little blog has been quiet this week and I blame it on a case of the tired mommy ๐
Last week I went for an OB appointment and I am measuring ahead of my due date. Since my due date was just a guesstimate {because of a surprise baby} the doctor talked about maybe moving my due date up from mid-March to the end of February if the baby keeps measuring so large. If so, that has pushed me into the third trimester and I feel it. I have had the easiest pregnancy yet this time but in the past few days I feel tired, sluggish, and pains in my lower belly and back. I have been propped on a heating pad reading at night and trying to take it easier.
Whitney has decided that she knows how to climb on all the beds and couch and will do so anytime she if alone for 2 seconds. This has resulted in her not ever being able to be left alone…ever! Y’all she is a mess. She has no fear of falling off the edge and will get so close to the edge of a bed or couch it makes my heart stop. Maybe toting her all over the house has something to do with my back pain?
Libby is sweet as ever, as long as she is getting her way ๐ She has been such a good big sister this week helping me keep an extra close eye on Whitney and being patient while I am not feeling my best. She is LOVING our new church we have been visiting and looks forward to Sunday School all week. Seeing her excited about going to church makes this momma’s heart so proud.
Tuesday night we had Lee’s work Christmas Party. I enjoyed getting to meet all of his coworkers. Now when he shares his day with me I will be able to put a face with the names. Unfortunately, on the way home from the party Lee started feeling bad and felt bad the rest of the evening. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling bad. My best guess is we both tried some Thai food {which is the only thing we ate in common & we have never tried Thai food} and it didn’t agree with us.
After seeing Lee’s time off from work for Christmas we made the decision to head to Lee’s parents in Alabama for Christmas. My dad will come up and join us too. This way we get to see everyone and spend several days with family and friends. I am kind of bummed about being away from home for Christmas day {I’ve never done that before} but it really is the best decision for the family. Libby and Whitney will love getting the extra time in with cousins and Lee and I will love to visit with family and friends. This will be our last visit back before the baby is born so we are looking forward to an extended visit.
As you can see it has just been the same old, same old around here {plus a few aches and pains}!
Let's talk, tell me what you think.
